BUILDING A NEW WORLD

We are constructing a valuable future for displaced children.  They receive love, education, and necessities that will help heal them and others. Your funds will make this possible. Please contribute below generously. The children often arrive with only what they are wearing.

WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Les Patriotes School: Devoted teachers instruct 115 students on the value of a healthy well cared for environment; animal rights; preventing harm to animals and their forest homes; how climate affects trees; endangered apes and gorillas. Children are deeply influenced while young. They become a major influence in the lives of adults.

Students at the Emmanuel Nadema School learn the value of trees to humans and the need to transplant. The children share this with their parents and guardians. The children are committed to preserve; protect; cultivate.

A SOLUTION TO A  PROBLEM, Aneal Kambale: Age 12

I have headache, am sick, can’t eat, have a cold; feel very cold. I want to dry myself in the sun, by the lake where the wind blows. After a few hours I am better.  I found the solution to my health problem without medication. Planting  trees around our houses will help us later.

THE EARTH OUR ONLY HOME, Jacques: Age 12

Our planet is like an oasis in the desert. It must be protected, as it is the only source of water. We have to prevent pollution of air and water; avoid deforestation and plant trees where there are none. We must always protect nature and be thoughtful and caring about how we use it. The earth is our one and only home. Let’s be aware and act with care.

FLESH OF AN ANIMAL, Faida Ndambaje: Age 10

Flesh of a human and that of an animal is still flesh. That’s why I refuse to eat animals. I got this message when my community burned a thief. When I saw the thief’s skin being burned, I realized that animals suffer this injustice all the time. Let’s save them!!!

SAVED THANKS TO COURAGE, Daniel Muhindo: Age 10

Coming back from the fields, I met four children leading a rabbit to “sleep” near our house. Anxious to save this animal, I threw a bag of ripe fruit at them. They were delighted and forgot what they were doing. While they were eating, I reminded them that like people, animals have a right to live. Well done. Their consciences forced them to change this habit.

MAN AND ANIMAL, Leah Shimbo: Age 12

Why would a person eat animal flesh? It looks like the flesh of a person; like mine. Would I cut myself with a knife? Blood would flow. Animal flesh is hard to digest and some people die from eating it. I prefer to eat what we grow at home. I would rather raise and live with animals than eat them.

SALTED FISH, Cisse Maanya: Age 12

I can swim as fast as any fish even when humans break me into 2 parts. They track us down, kill us, and after they break us into 2 parts, they add a quantity of salt to us to keep us for their meal. These hypocrites call us salt meat. They mourn human death, but not ours. Live and let us live in peace and respect our corpses.

CELEBRATE WITH US MOURN ELSEWHERE

Mumbere Vahesi Aunexine: Age 10

My parents celebrate special occasions. My mom cooks a rooster and a goat. These victims are cheap and easy to cut. Before and during slaughter, these animals cry a lot and all nearby hear them. The animals want to reproduce. Sadly their children will be killed and eaten. We must love them so they will feel safe near us.

 SLAUGHTERHOUSE, Dieume Mushumo: Age 10

Two men were struggling slaughtering a cow. This cow just saw another cow fall bleeding and it ran outside. The man tried to catch it and grabbed its horns. The butcher died in the chase.  The second man shared the “bad news” with people back home. We must treat animals the way that we would like to be treated. The cow wanted to stay alive!

Balebi School Complex children are taught animal rights for awareness of the vegan lifestyle. Volunteer members of NLCC talk to students and teachers about threats and traumas animals face and self-centeredness of people who engage in animal crime. Also consequences for those who consume animal products and request their sympathy for all to avoid the cemeteries: humans and animals.

Volunteer holds a picture of a Mountain Gorilla with a backdrop of images of pig, goat, rooster, and vegetables. Pictures help to tell the story about the difference between living beings being used as food and other products and earth grown products. This gains sympathy from the community.
